Booking.com channel manager for hostels
Booking.com brings the demand. HostelMate keeps every bed in step: rates, availability and rules set once, everywhere.
What syncs between HostelMate and Booking.com
Availability & inventory
New bookings, changes and cancellations update your Booking.com calendar and every other connected channel through our channel manager, so nothing is entered twice.
Rates & fees
Push nightly prices plus supported fees and taxes so guests always see the right total at checkout.
Minimum stays and closed dates
Set a minimum stay or close a date once in HostelMate and Booking.com gets the same rule on every rate plan. Cancellation policies stay in the Booking.com extranet.
Reservations
Guest details, stay data, room type, and rate plan flow back to HostelMate so your team has one clear source of truth.
Designed for hostels and groups
Dorms and private rooms
Booking.com sells a dorm through its "Bed in Dormitory" room category: each room type is a bed, named like "Bed in 6-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room", with as many units as you have beds and a maximum occupancy of one. HostelMate maps each of your dorms to one of these, so availability on Booking.com is counted bed by bed. Private rooms map as whole rooms.
Rate plan friendly
Connect your base rate to multiple plans, Flexible, Non‑Refundable, Mobile, and more, so you don’t have to rebuild pricing from scratch.
Rules that match reality
Weekends, seasons, city events, save them as templates and apply in a click across room types.
Guest phone numbers since 28 September 2026
Booking.com no longer sends guest phone numbers to any PMS or channel manager; the number stays visible in the Booking.com extranet and the Pulse app. Bookings still arrive in HostelMate with everything else, staff can add a number to the guest later, and online check-in asks guests for theirs. What to do at the desk: Booking.com guest phone numbers, a hostel guide.

Not since 28 September 2026. Booking.com stopped sending guest phone numbers to every connected system to protect travellers from phishing. You can still see the number in the Booking.com extranet and the Pulse app, add it to the guest in HostelMate, or collect it at online check-in.
It's included in both HostelMate plans: $19 a month for up to 30 beds or $45 with no bed limit, with no fee per booking from us. Booking.com's own commission still applies to its bookings.
